Effective November 23, 2024, the Department of Savings and Mortgage Lending (SML) adopts new rules governing residential mortgage loan companies, mortgage bankers, individual residential mortgage loan originators, mortgage servicers, and wrap mortgage loans. The rules were identified during SML’s periodic review of its rules conducted pursuant to Section 2001.039 of the Texas Government Code (rule review).
On and after November 23, 2024, the adopted rules will be reflected on the Texas Secretary of State website. Interested persons may also review the adopted rules notice published in the Texas Register on November 15, 2024.
